Geological Survey of Bangladesh is pleased to announce the National Seminar 2026 on Geology for Sustainable Development & Future Energy Security of Bangladesh.

The seminar aims to bring together professionals, academicians, scientists, and researchers to share and exchange their knowledge, research findings, and professional experiences across all major domains of the geosciences. It will serve as a national platform to present recent advancements, explore emerging trends, and discuss key geoscientific challenges and opportunities relevant to sustainable development and future energy security.

It is our firm belief that, geoscience is one of the most crucial pillars of modern scientific thought. Geoscience plays a fundamental role in addressing contemporary environmental, resource, and societal challenges. Through advanced geological research, responsible resource assessment, and informed decision-making, geosciences contribute significantly to overcoming resource limitations, mitigating environmental risks, and supporting sustainable development. This seminar seeks to encourage critical reflection on current geoscientific research, practices, and collaborations to help shape a more resilient, resource-efficient, and energy-secure Bangladesh.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts must be written in English and must not exceed 300 words. Submissions must be made exclusively through the designated Google Form. Authors are requested to adhere to the prescribed templates and guidelines, available for download below. Multiple submissions are welcomed. All submitted abstracts will undergo a review process.

Note: A Google account (Gmail ID) is required to upload files through the submission form. An acknowledgement email with the Abstract ID (required for future correspondence) will be sent to the corresponding author’s email address; authors are advised to check their spam/junk folder if necessary. Authors facing difficulties with the submission process may contact at seminargsb2026@gmail.com.

FULL PAPER SUBMISSION

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified for submitting full papers following the prescribed template and guidelines through designated submission link here. Full papers will undergo a review process prior to publication in the seminar proceedings.

REGISTRATION

Seminar registration will commence after abstract acceptance. Authors will receive the registration link in the abstract acceptance email.
